Today is the first storm of the year here in good old Lincolnton. No snow, but huge amounts of ice on the trees and buildings. It's rainning, but the roads haven't frozen over which is definitely a good thing.
The power went out here at the paper for about three hours. It came back on just in time for our staff Christmas lunch of Mitchem's Barbecue. I stocked up on barbecue, chicken pie, cole slaw, potatoes, fruit, baked beans, bread and banana pudding until I could eat no more.
Goodness I hope all the trees don't fall over because of the weight. I am just so jealous because my parents left for Los Angeles today while I am sitting in the cold. Oh well, I guess they deserve a vacation after raising 4 children and all. I kinda wish I was at retirement age right now.
I depise the Cherryville page and I know I am annoying and probably should just shut up about it but I don't care, I will complain about it until I die. Thank you.
